Father’s Day.
We have both had a very Happy Father’s Day.
First our eldest son and daughter-in- law called in to wish MrC a Happy Father’s Day and brought a card and voucher for our local restaurant.
Isn’t it nice when I can benefit too!
They stayed for an hour or so and we had a good catch up. Hearing all about their trip to Las Vegas.
Third time and the best.
Helicopter flights, ride on horseback at sunset, Rod Stewart at The Colosseum, and dinner at Gordon Ramsey’s Steak House where they had the best Beef Wellington ever! Won’t mention the price of the cocktails!
That was just a few of the very special treats.
After a late lunch MrC was watching the rugby, and I set off for a walk. Didn’t get far when my phone rang and it was Rhys wondering if we were in.
Well of course I turned round and got back just before they arrived.
Lovely to see them all, and hear about their holiday in Lloret de Mar.
So glad to learn they had a great time and just wished they were there for longer.

They were surprised that many things were more expensive than back home. They needed more nappies for Leo and from a supermarket they were 20 euros for similar that costs £2.80 here.
So after all our visitors I set too to make tea.
As the asparagus season is coming to an end it was one of our favourite dishes.
Chicken and shallots, flambéd in Brandy with asparagus and finished with crème fraiche and tarragon, which provided me with today’s blip.
What an enjoyable day.
