Off to the Farm

I took much longer for packing than anticipated.
Despite me having a list .... 
We left the house just after 11 am and stopped at Waitrose to do the shopping for the dinner we were going to cook for mum and dad.
This included getting some beautiful salmon at the fish monger.
Neil offered to do the first leg up to Tebay.
The second was mine after the obligatory  coffee and Scotch Egg stop.
I had the short straw as I ended in  a long traffic jam - 1.5 hours for 2 miles.
It was not that much fun.
We only arrived at Roachside at 6:50 pm and immediately started our kitchen duties.
Despite cracking on quickly we ended eating only at 9 pm.
Including a little delay caused by stray cows in the wrong field.
We had some much needed wine and I was absolutely shattered when we got to bed.

Oh the weather was lovely when we arrived - look the light there and hencloud in the background.
