All the way from Pennyslvania

A great day with this lively group of students from Kutztown, Pennsylvania - they were interested, interesting, respectful and fully engaged in the the well day in Ballyvourney where we visited three wells. The weather was mixed, they loved the rain as we stoically ate our picnic al fresco, bravely jumped across the ford, coped with electric fences, were slightly horrified at the lack of restrooms and hygiene, and got stung by nettles and brambles. What a fantastic programme they have -a month in Ireland starting in Dublin, and doing a full circumnavigation of the island taking in all the important sights/sites from Newgrange to the Giant's Causeway to Glendalough to some obscure wells in County Cork and on to the Aran Islands. Much stamina needed but pretty eye opening as few had left the US before. We avoided politics.
