Gangsta's Paradise

Otherwise known as Oxford. That's what they were rapping anyway.

We met up with daughter#1 and the gang for a Father's Day lunch at Côte. French Onion Soup to start (extra). It was delicious, followed (for me) by tuna niçoise salad and crème brûlée. We really like Côte, apart from when you have to pay, it's not cheap. SIL#1 and I did get free Father's Day beers though.

Another extra that I liked - colourful but not quite Abbey Road.

After lunch we had a mooch around the covered market. I bought a John Cooper Clarke Tinned Idol - it will be blipped one day, probably when a suitable Tiny Tuesday comes up. We had a chat with the seller about JCC's biography, which he was about to read. I checked - I only gave it 3 stars on Goodreads which in hindsight seems a bit mean.

As usual we did the Park and Ride which is the best way for us to get into the centre. The announcements were much more cultured than the Bristol Park and Ride ones :-)

When we got home we had a nice video call with daughter#2. She'd sent me a Mr Pompey mug, something else that will be blipped one day no doubt.

A super Father's Day, the only downside was that I didn't get any photos of the grandsons. Joe has lost a front tooth which would have made an amusing shot.

Be There ....
We will be there again this year.
