Having a bit of a battle about what to wear on my feet for a wedding reception that I’m going to down south, this weekend.  My heel has a huge blister on it and my flip flops have made huge blisters on my toes so I’m struggling to find anything that I can tolerate….that actually works with the outfit I’m wearing….so frustrating.  I found the perfect sliders in a local shoe shop but had to order my size….they should have arrived today but in the aftermath of a devastating fire in the city centre, the whole street is closed so I cannot collect my new shoes!  I’ve spoken to the company and they’re trying to work something out but Royal Mail have been unable to do deliveries and although staff are allowed in the shop on the closed street, the general public aren’t.  In the meantime I have tried to find an alternative , just in case I don’t get them in time….see extra!

I had bought some beautiful blingy sandals in a charity shop but they too caused blisters on my toes, so I took them apart, saved the blingy diamantés and today sewed them on to my very comfortable, but slightly boring gold sneakers.  I may just get away with wearing these as they don’t irritate my already blistered heel and they are roomy enough not to rub the blisters on my toes!
