Having a lie in
Up and out walking the hound before 6am in a lovely fresh breeze.
Saw this fox sleeping on the shed roof in the early morning sun. It may have spent the night there. It's a safe lookout spot.
Headed to the market for the usual market shop arriving just after 9am. Stallholder Kevin, checked the Guildhall clock before remarking 'You're early!'
Whizzed round the market then headed to the wholefood shop. The temperature was pleasant with a refreshing breeze. By the time I arrived home the temperature was ramping up.
And I chose to cook as the heat rose. Made a frittata with sauteed:sliced courgette, chopped beetroot leaves, onion, garlic and added chopped parsley, nutmeg and seasoning before mixing in six eggs. We'll have that tonight and tomorrow with salads.
Sat in the garden reading. I'm enjoying my book and am torn between wanting to read it but also not wanting it to end. It has held my attention completely.
While sitting in the garden noticed a fox brush disappear vertically up the hedge. The fox emerged on the shed roof then climbed onto the adjacent garage roof. It's been a hot afternoon and the garage roof isn't particularly sheltered with greenery. The fox appeared, jumping onto the shed roof concealed by ivy.
There are two regular foxes that visit. One has an injured rear right leg which it is able to put weight on when standing but holds it up when on the move. I believe it's a male. The other is slightly smaller and may be female or a juvenile. Both seem unperturbed with Mr and I sitting approximately two metres away from them.
Pleasant evening everyone.
