Lyme Park, Emergency Stop
We headed home after a night parked on the Mam Tor Road in the Peak District, a lovely spot with beautiful views.
On the way through the outskirts of Stockport we hit congestion, which turned out to be an extra wide load on roads that were not wide enough. Seemed a selfish thing to do - why not transport it at night instead. So we diverted into Lyme Park for a walk.
My Blip is of tiles in the Orangery (no oranges to be seen). As we walked round I overheard a man saying that he had some similar in his vestibule. This was the exact thought going through my head as our parent's house had similar tiles in our vestibule (a great word).
My extra was taken nearby, and appears to be a stone table. Did the landed gentry have picnics that warranted a permanent table in the trees?
