Gooseberries
I pottered in the garden first thing but wanted to the sunflowers and bergamot planted at the allotment. They have been in the garden growing stronger so they will hopefully better cope with the big brave world of the allotment. So I drove to the allotment with the car loaded up with plants and the strimmer. I spent the rest of the morning there enjoying the gentle sunshine and satisfaction of getting those plants dug in and all the grass cut around the plot. Before I left I picked most of this year’s gooseberries. These ruby coloured ones are my favourites - to look at and to eat.
