I hear a bird chirping up in the sky.

There's quite a bit of chirping going on in the garden at the moment. The greenfinches I think are the loudest as there is a family of about 8 that head for the feeders throughout the day. This picture was taken first thing before I had been out to top up the sunflower seeds. There was quite abit of arguing going on as they fought the right perch. The Greenfiches are seeing off a siskin, the blur of feathers you can see, it did eventually get a feed. Oh, in case you were wondering it's a fat square in the cage although it looks like a Lorne sausage.
It's nice to see that they are doing well this year after their numbers dropped due to a disease a few years back.
Very windy again today but dry.

After watching Tom Weir last night I remembered a programme from childhood called 'Out of Town' with Jack Hargreaves. Another passionate person with a style of his own including a pipe that used to stick out of one side of his mouth, glasses and a hat. He was also in How with Fred Dinenage. see here
