Homecoming

If I would want to be a little dramatic, I would call these days when at last I got the Mac working, homecoming, that is a return back to Mac, back to Apple. I noticed that Apple has this year celebrated a 41 year anniversary of the personal computer. Well, I have been there ever since my first Apple IIc in 1984, and right after that the first Compact Macintosh, followed by Plus and Classic, and in the 1990s the colorful big round iMac, which were the Macs with which I made the web pages of my father's work in 1999 as well as the new edition of his grammar of the Finnish language in 2002. The software were from the beginning MacWord, PageMaker, FileMaker.
At the Helsinki City Planning Department I witnessed the development of the MS-DOS, "Messy-DOS" called, to all steps of Windows to where we are now, and where I have made both my genealogy charts and the family photo books.
When you start early with everything new and live long enough, you can tell accurately how it began and what we went through. :-)
But to sum it up. I am happy now with a 27inch Windows11 and a 23inch iMac on my desk side by side with the micro oven, air fryer, dishwasher, sink, capsule coffee maker, baking machine and fridge. I am sitting in my saddle chair with casters to help me move from one machine to the other.
