Long Tailed Tit

Whilst waiting for the Peregrines to fly (and they did!) I heard first, then saw a party of Long Tailed Tits fly past in the nearby bushes. Just managed to catch this beauty before it flew on. Seeing them always reminds me of a pair that nested in a bush outside where I used to work. They make a completely enclosed nest using spiders webs and lichen. When the female used to come out of the nest, her tail feathers curled round! Soon straightened up though.
Tits flocking is another indicator that the A... season is approaching
