The problem with clients is…

Having spent all weekend on the parental soccer front, I was due today to receive a “rush” translation from a client. Despite being promised it at 9am, it didn’t arrive until closer to 4pm. So, the day was spent doing make-work projects on line, waiting for it to arrive.

My hip and foot is not necessarily improving very quickly – indeed, my hip, now a beautiful shade of purple and black, is more painful. I expect this is to be expected. It was a hell of a knock. However, it wasn’t made any worse by the weekend of standing by a pitch, so there is always a silver lining.

The translation, finally arrived, was done by 8pm and sent to my proofer in France for return first thing tomorrow. I went down and was treated to a Dr. Who by my son. His league match had been postponed because the opposition was in the middle of an injury crisis. I know how they feel.

The blip is of a post box that caught my eye. It reminded me of yesterday's referee - only more mobile.
