Tiny
I spent most of the day photographing things that had nothing to do with cars (the theme I chose for today's TinyTuesday Challenge). So here is the front hood thingie from my husband's prized 1970 Camaro. Not very creative, but I like the way it looks so good enough for today!
This morning I was charmed by loads of baby woodpeckers careening around the yard, begging to be fed, being completely adorable. I even saw one cheeky little downy woodpecker attempting to self-feed on the suet ... until mom showed up at which point all attempts at independence stopped. I got another couple of glimpses of the red bellied woodpecker babies as well as a closer look at two of the hairy woodpecker kids. Perfectly overcast day, ideal for the sharp contrast of black and white birds. Not to mention, pleasantly warm but not hot.
I also found a very cute Andrena species (miner bees) hanging out on some milkweed. Shot in Extra.
And in addition to some very enjoyable photo time, I got some things off my to-do list - hair trimmed, currency for Brazil ordered, prescription filled. Jax also had a productive keeping me safe from squirrels. Oh, and he had a face-to-face through the fence with the little fawn - he really wasn't sure what it was or how to react to it. The fawn knew exactly what to do and scampered into the woods. So stinking cute.
Oh, and in nesting news ... both boxes of wrens plus the blue birds have all fledged! Still have the tree swallows who should hatch any day and a third box of wren eggs.
xoxo
