Young man contemplating!

Although less than 30 miles from Bangor as the crow flies, the combination of traffic, tortuous roads and narrow windy country lanes meant it took an hour and a quarter to drive there. The subject of a famous poem by Cynan, the village boasts a fabulous beach and some quaint cafes without the tourist bustle of nearby Abersoch. Notable is the very charming St Hywyn’s Church, dating from a 6th century clas (an independent establishment within the Celtic church) that sits perched right on the ocean edge - a perfect place for Isaiah to pause and reflect.
