Wild Raspberry in Flower

I was out on the edges of the yard with the macro lens looking for inspiration when I noticed the bees (not nearly enough of them, but that's a story for another day) headed for these tiny non-showy flowers and ignored the bright white blackberry blossoms that intermingled with them. Luckily I recognized the plant right away, even though I'd never thought much about its flower before - wild raspberry (Rubus idaeus).

There are 5 petals which drop off pretty early - the flower in the picture is new and still has them - leaving the multiple white stamens exposed. The bees didn't care about the petals - perhas they are attracted to the five sepals that in a head-on view form an almost perfect 5-pointed star.
