The Gulls are Back……

This afternoon Ruby and I went for a drive. First to buy petrol…. At NPD where there was a Wednesday special of 20 cents off per liter…… not to be ignored. (Thanks to friend Gwen for alerting me.). I thought I’d be there at a quiet time but I reckon half the town was there…. I filled the tank. A chaotic visit. Then we went to the Taylor Dam. The Black Back Gulls were there in droves…. Squawking, generally arguing with each other and swooping around. Someone must have told them there was a load of tasty food, such as green-lip mussel shells, about to be dumped at the nearby landfill. There were no gulls to be seen when I visited the lake at the Dam last night. There may be some rain and thunder arriving tomorrow. They are very knowing.
