Tioraidh an-drasta!
A last view of a red squirrel - the feeders were right outside our window, so it made for compulsive viewing. (Taken through double glazing of course, so not very sharp). There were also hunners of tiny birds flitting back and forth - the squirrel stayed still longer.
We set out after another hearty breakfast - choosing a route via the Rest and Be Thankful rather than the ferry from Dunoon, which we'd swithered over. (Turned out later that the latter had all been cancelled due to someone falling overboard.....). D had finally figured out a way to switch off all the unnecessary warnings (proximity alert, crossing a white line, steering 'correction' etc ), that didn't take us five minutes every time we switched the engine on. There are some "A" roads in the Western Highlands that are so narrow the alerts would have been continual. Weather fairly damp most of the way, but the sheer quantity of green leafage was a treat for the eyes.
All seemed quite on the home front. Very tired, so a convenience meal (some spare lasagne that L had given us) and an early night.
