WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

It’s a jungle out there!

You can’t see on my collage but the garden has gone wild while we’ve been a way! Tomorrow I’ll be weeding, dead heading and cutting back.
I went with Sabrina this morning to take the girls to school and then to Airdrie as Marc had a solicitor appointment and asked me to accompany him.
When we pulled up at Amelia’s school I said, ‘Oh Amelia I’ll get out to give you hug and a kiss’.
‘No Grandma, it’s fine honestly, you don’t need to get out’.
Sabrina started to laugh and then I twigged. How embarrassing if Grandma
starts hugging you in front of your school pals! ;-D))

After the appointment Frank picked me up in Airdrie and we started the long journey home. We saw a difference in the weather as we moved further south. It had been cold and grey in Scotland but as we crossed the border it sunny and warm.
It is so lovely to be home - even though we had a lovely time with the girls, I will be so happy to be in our own bed tonight. Futons are fine for a night or two but not a whole week.

Amelia is going on holiday with her best friend and family on Sunday - to Cyprus. She is so excited but her mum and dad and we are worried about it incase things escalate with Iran and Israel. They are waiting till the last minute to decide. It’s a horrible situation to be in. If something bad happens they would never forgive themselves. Her friend’s family are still planning to go with or without Amelia and she will be so upset.
What a terrible world.

Anyway, I’m very tired now so goodnight and thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts. :-)X
