Tick Tock
This clock was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law in 2011 and we’ve always loved it. It stopped working once and we had it fixed. Then it stopped working again a few years ago, but we never got round to getting it fixed again - and the first time wasn’t cheap. Anyway, today, while I was marking downstairs in our patio room for a change, I looked at it on the stair wall and decided to take it down to have a look at it. I changed the battery and, from nowhere, tick tock. tick tock! It’s now after dinner and it’s keeping good time. Lovely to have it working again!
And for the language nerds amongst us, here’s why it’s ‘tick tock’ and not ‘tock tick’:
