That Will Do!

Sunset

I discovered a new room today; actually I knew it was there but hadn't been upstairs to see and, when I did, this scene greeted me. We sleep in the downstairs bedroom and I've no wish to change because it was so hot up there we'd suffocate.

We spent most of the day in Worcester cathedral, where there's a memorial to Edward Elgar and the tomb of King John, among other features. I took photos of misericords and carvings, stained glass windows (though all are Victorian), the Norman Chapter House and lots more. The cafe is small but good. There is no charge for entry but donations welcome and photography is encouraged. Gorgeous place.

We thought we had to rush back to he car but, finding we had 30 minutes, joined the crowd by the river with an icy cold orange juice, watching old and young play in the 'pavement fountains'.

The car thermometer read 28°C today; tomorrow is forecast to be 3°C hotter. Gloucester cathedral might be cool... .
