Bit of weeding

My sister dropped the car off this morning, and then I took my Mum for her eye appointment at Yeovil hospital (yet another injection in her eye).  She mentioned that she needed some new bras, so I suggested we go to the Clarks factory village (outlet shopping mall) on the way home.  Someone kindly gave us their ticket for parking as we arrived, which was a bonus.  It had three hours left on it, which we thought was wayyy more than we'd use, but we finally made it back to the car with only half an hour left on it.

We had a very successful visit to M&S, where Mum found some lovely new bras, then stopped for a coffee and a sandwich, before looking round a couple more shops.  Then another break, for an ice cream (had to be done; it was such a beautiful day), and a few more shops (I found a nice couple of tops in Fat Face).

Came back to Mum's after that, and I ended up doing a whole load of gardening, either side of eating dinner out in the garden - and after dropping the car back to my sister.  Mum had had a couple of pre-planted hanging baskets delivered - very nearly my photo of the day, as they were unbelievably destroyed in the box.  Despite the big 'This Way Up' print on the side, I can only assume the box had been put (/thrown) upside down en route.  Think I managed to salvage everything OK, replanted them and gave them a good watering.  I planted a fuschia in one of Mum's pots outside the front door too - and then did a LOT of weeding!  All that big pile in the photo was growing in this bed previously.  So satisfying!

Finally stopped at 9pm, had a chat with Tim, and collapsed in front of the TV for a while.
