Splashing

A very warm, sunny day. We walked at low tide on the beach at Hayling this morning. The sand stretched as far as the eye could see and small pools of water, warmed by the sun, lay in the indentations of sand left by the falling tide. Merlin ran enthusiastically and bounded through the warm pools of water, thrilled by the splashes he was making. Afterwards we sat on the shingle bank and watched the boats coming to and fro from Portsmouth and Southampton. On the horizon, the Isle of Wight was clear to see today.

We cooled off at home, lunched and rested. Later I went to yoga. Thankfully it wasn’t too strenuous.
