On This Day

Viper's Bugloss

There's a healthy patch of viper's bugloss growing by the river path. It's such a handsome flower and I thought it looked good in the early sunlight.  Thanks to ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie for the challenge.

The much talked about heatwave down south has arrived here though not, thank goodness, the horribly high temperature. It's just a very pleasant sunny morning with no wind

I'm off to Dollar soon to meet a former colleague for lunch and an overdue catch up. She doesn't live that far away but we are both busy bees so only manage to see each other a couple of times a year. We try to meet at a half way  point and Dollar is it today.

Then home to sitting in the garden, I hope.
