Our day…
….Ella and I went out to the airport to collect her Mum and Dad late morning, good to see them again, even though it wasn’t that long ago when we were in Wellington. After lunch they got stuck in and pruned the rather sick quince tree. And they did a great job too, if it doesn’t improve come spring it will get the heave ho!….(the airport and the pruning in extra).
Then this evening Janelle went back out to the airport to pick up Harry from his flight from Wellington. You may wonder why they didn’t all travel together. Harry had school and football practise after school (important) so opted to fly later. My blip is Ella and Harry with Janelle laughing at them. The other one is much more organised. So good to have them all here.
It’s after 9pm and we’ve just finished dinner.
A Public holiday tomorrow, Matariki (Māori New Year), falls this year on the 19-22 June which marks the reappearance of a constellation which is only seen in NZ in June/July. Hope I’ve got that info right.
