Mary and me - and the Forth Bridge

I heard last night that Ella had had a great day at Newcastle Uni where her group came third in the region for their sustainability project. I know no details of it though.

Tomorrow Thomas is off to France on a school trip.

Jenny and I chilled in her garden this morning as my leg wasn’t even up to a walk on the beach which we usually like to do. (Yesterday I walked 2.5 miles). It would have been a great day for it as it was the hottest I’ve known it there.

I got the train to Inverkeithing and had to change there for Dalmeny where Mary, an old school friend not seen since Mr C’s sister’s funeral, met me. She was Colina’s bridesmaid. We had lunch in a pub overlooking the Firth and the Forth Bridge. It was lovely to see her again. We shared a room for the 3 years we were at Uni, first in Halls on Great Western Road then in various rooms or flats up closes.

Then I got the train to Waverley and on to Alnmouth where Mr C met me. It’s been lovely to catch up with 3 old friends.
