Peebles Mercat Cross

I had a quick trip into the town this morning with Mary which gave me a chance to take another Beltane themed picture.  

This afternoon we were invited for tea and cake at a friends’ house where we sat in their lovely garden and soaked up the sunshine

BTW apparently the Peebles mercat cross is over 500 years old!  It does look a bit “knocked about” but I would never have guessed it was that old
