Thursday: Summer Flowers
Much warmer today, about 22°C, sunshine all day :-))
Spent an hour or so cutting back some of the Cranesbills, especially a very pretty and delicate white one behind the garage, it’s been flowering for weeks and the insects love it - noticed it had ripe seeds so I’ve kept some for the Cottage Garden Society Seed Swap. Very prickly pink rose at top of steps has been lightly pruned, it’s never had so many flowers :-))
Decided to water all my pots which have flowers in them and whilst I was at it I cleaned the saucers that I leave out for the birds and gave them fresh water too, they soon noticed and a group of sparrows were soon drinking and splashing :-)
Watched another episode of Death Valley - https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002cg - and watched an interesting factual series (in Welsh) called “Darn Bach o Hanes” loosely translated as “ A Small Piece of History”.
Today’s Blip is of the following:
Top row from left - Borage, Malva Sylvestris “Mystic Merlin”, some blue Jacob’s Ladder
Bottom row - Salvia coradonna, Sweet William
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
