Uncommon

Here’s a common whitetail dragonfly. I believe this is a female and not an immature male but I’m not 100% sure. She’s perched on a granite stone in a flower bed, but don’t be fooled because she’s hunting mosquitos and gnats. She took flight several times while I was watching but always returned to this particular spot. It’s unsurprising she’s here because a small creek is located just behind her down a banking • A muggy day with occasional sunshine peering through a bank of clouds. Rain and storms are expected later • Peace & Love
