Thursday: B&Q

Goodness me, it was a hot one today.  It was almost like being back in Belize (heaven forfend) but without the humidity.

We were at B&Q today choosing front door paint.  I’m quite excited as we are eschewing the more traditional colours.  Needless to say, there’ll be a blip when it’s done.  We’re having a fair bit of work work done to make the outside of the house a bit more respectable as it’s suffered a bit from being rented out for so long.

In a fit of curiosity I googled why B&Q is so named.  Apparently it used to be called ‘Block & Quayle’ after the founders but was shortened to ‘B&Q’.  Please be sure to remember that for your next pub quiz.
