Last Day in Salisbury

Our usual walk down into town for L to indulge in last change charity shop browsing and for me to enjoy reading the paper at Sonder Coffee which is excellent - best flat white so far. It was getting a little hot so we made our way to the bus stop and took the bus back up to the site.

Did some BG work and read some more of a book I am studying for my Masters thesis before the arrival of Paul and Hazel for our evening out. We’ve known them since the mid eighties and it was good to catch up with them again as we did last year with a meal over again at Anokaa Indian restaurant. Delicious meal and highly entertaining magician who was visiting tables and doing card and coin tricks that none of us had any idea how! The last one was most intriguing as I was given a fork to write my name on and he then proceeded to create several bends in the tines and the handle before handing it back with all the tines bent at different angles but with my name on it just as I had written it - but there was no way I could bend any of them back - the fork was clearly strong metal - still mystified but it was very clever - and Paul and I were watching very closely to see where the misdirection was happening - still no idea how he did it!
