Cat's Grin

After my visit to Guildford yesterday, with it's association to Lewis Carroll, it only seemed fitting to chose my version of the Cheshire Cat whose distinguishing feature was the periodic gradual disappearance of its body, leaving only one last visible trace: its iconic grin.

My cat has lived in the garden for many years following an impulse buy from the Savill Gardens garden shop. He perches precariously on a metal stand and is supposed to rock in the breeze, though this has never been successful!  Today, he has lost his glass eyes and is rusting away gracefully. Perhaps one day only his grin will remain, much like the Cheshire Cat.
