Honister infinity bridge
My dear Brother-in-law, Andy, bought Deb, me and himself a ticket each to do the Honister Slate Mine "Infinity Bridge" - A 190 metre long wire walkway 1000 feet above the pass.
I don't even do ladders - by the 4th rung I'm quaking!
However, never say never, so I went for it. The first bit involved clipping your carabiners to a "steep" rocky scramble to the start of the bridge. The likes of which Deb & I do regularly (without needing to clip onto anything, then it was a case of connecting up, and putting one foot in front of the other. Though there was quite a lot of bouncing and swaying - interesting feeling at that height!
Loved it!
The photo isn't my usual quality, but it was a still taken from a time lapse of my crossing. The time lapse didn't really work, as the phone was on a lanyard round my neck and swayed about in the wind, but I can take hundreds of screenshots from it.
No prizes for guessing who's trotting along in front!
