I’m an expert at deciding in the evening that I’m going to do something the next day and then I’ll change my mind when I get up and do very little.

It nearly happened today.

I haven’t been up high in Whinlatter Forest since 2017/18. This morning I made it up to Lords Seat. The physical side wasn’t challenging but it did bring back many memories. Parts of the walk have changed a bit. The first section has been rerouted and later what was a narrow path is much wider with the felling of trees to the sides.

I got a shock when I payed my parking fee at the visitor centre car park before I left. Lucky I didn’t stay for coffee and cake.

I used the camera for most photos but on top I took a few shots with the phone so I could send some while I was out. These actually captured more detail in the sky so that’s what I’m posting. More in extras.
