Yn gwneud fy nillad fy hunan

Yn gwneud fy nillad fy hunan ~ Making my own clothes

“Over the past fifty years, even though we now pay less, our clothes haven’t actually become cheaper because the clothes we buy today are not the same as the clothes we bought then. We pay less because they’re not as good; thinner, weaker, less warm, less waterproof, less durable. Not cheaper, just worse.”
― Patrick Grant

Wel dyma fi yn dechrau ar rywbeth newydd, yn gwneud fy nghrys fy hunan. Dydw i ddim angen gwneud crys, wrth gwrs, yn enwedig os rydw i'n mor gyfoethog ag yr oeddwn i ddoe... Ond mae syniad da i fod yn gallu gwneud ychydig o wniadwaith ac mae Nor'dzin yma gyda'i sgiliau hi a phrofiad i helpu fi. Rydw i'n mynd yn araf, ond heddiw gwnes i dorri blaen y crys ac yn gwnïo'r placedi arno fe. Yfory tyllau botwm, efallai. Yn y pen draw bydda i'n gallu gwisgo crys wnes i fy hun. Hudolus.

Well here I am starting something new, making my own shirt. I don't need to make a shirt, of course, especially if I'm as rich as I was yesterday... But it's a good idea to be able to do a little sewing and Nor'dzin is here with her skills and experience to help me. I'm going slowly, but today I cut the front of the shirt and sewed the plackets on it. Tomorrow buttonholes, maybe. Eventually I will be able to wear a shirt I made myself. Magical.
