Mare’s tail

Also known as Horsetail its name is Equisetum arvense. This is the plant I keep trying to erradicate from my garden. It always looked different to other plants.  I have never seen it flower. So I looked it up.

Turns out in predates dinosaurs and has very interesting organs that produce spores in spring.  Could be mistaken for mushrooms! however it mainly proliferates by long rhizomes, underground! 

Web spent most of the day looking for a set of keys I had with me last night! We offered St Anthony a fiver.  We had given up and were looking through old keys when I suddenly saw them between some boards on the stairs! The girls for the night and tomorrow.  One very dirty child needs a bath!
