Sauna…

….when we were at the scout BBQ last night, the good people at Polyeco were building our sauna/polytunnel. I was unreasonably excited about arriving home as I navigated two closed road diversions on the A68.

This morning, after an excellent breakfast of marmalade toast, I laid weed barrier (not that sort of weed) and emptied a few bags of chipped bark around the tunnel to create a walkway. There’s little chance it will keep the bindweed under control, but you live in hope.

By 9.30am, the temperature was rocketing and I reached for the factor 50 to prevent my pale northern skin from burning….too late.

A day of weeding and renovation discussions, and a BBQ tea to finish. Progress.
