Brixham harbour
A day out in Brixham today turned out to be a great choice. Not too hot compared to further inland as it’s by the sea (although still pretty hot in the sun at times), and not too busy either. We started with a coffee then gradually strolled around the harbour looking at all the boats. Then out along the breakwater to the lighthouse (1 mile each way) and then on to a small pebbly beach further on. Here we grabbed lunch (with plates of food much larger than we were expecting) and then decided the water looked so enticing so we walked back to the car to get towels and swimming things. In the end, only I swam, and only for a few minutes - it wasn’t too cold but I came across some small jellyfish and that freaked me out a bit! A great day out, all in all.
