Very Blue

While we've been focussed on other things, the garden has just been left to do what it could, and it has done it with gusto! 

The weather this year has been very kind - a mild winter, followed by a sunny, dry spring (so the weeds have been held in check a bit), and now summer days, long and light and warm. 

I never did get around to staking the delphiniums, and they have managed to stay more or less upright, while growing as tall as me, and laden with beautiful dark blue blooms with a touch of metallic purple. I'm so happy! 

It has been a bit of a bumpy day - the saga of the fridge continues, with no resolution in sight, the dead garden tractor is still in the garage awaiting collection by the scrap merchant, and messages have been flying forth all day with the estate agent (who uploaded the unedited version of the text to our entry online) However,  it all came together just before close of business, so we are now officially on the market. And the office is shut now till Monday, so we have a breathing space. After that, hopefully the phone will start ringing.
