Bank holiday

Another mostly cloudy day.

We sat by the pool for a little.while but the wind made it quite chilly.

MrRIU reverted to grumpy mode which didnt improve later when none of the nearby eateries were open due to a bank holiday.  

A city break for a week is definitely too long for him.  He doesn't enjoy walking that much. Having already visited the places he wants to see here and with his current lack of enthusiasm for eating and drinking it is challenging.

This little square near our hotel is typical of Funchal right now.  There was a board showing activities happening there next week and a little stage had been set up. There was lots of bunting, I imagine from the flower.festival in May.
