Garden and vegetable plots

Maybe only vegetables.

Residents put their name down for a plot. I am assuming they keep using it until they no longer need it. I am not sure as I do not have need for one. 
Like many initiatives in this and many retirement villages, it would have been the idea of a resident or residents long ago. Probably volunteers in the village keep an eye on its working.

Retirement villages would be lacking without the amazing initiative and volunteering of residents.
