John Dory

Beautiful calm day so Connie thought we should go fishing. Very quiet at first then. she hooked something and fought it to the surface where it escaped and lay there dazed just long enough for me to scoop it up with the net. So who caught it?
I guess we did. 
Anyway the last time I saw one of these caught here was about 65 years ago when my mother noticed the cat had something in the shallows on the beach, a John Dory, which she confiscated and we had it for dinner. Sorry cat. 
The extra is of the other significant fish we landed: L to R, John Dory, Kahawai, Gurnard, Snapper.
