A day in the life

Cheers

Midsummer Eve is the opposite of Christmas Eve, the longest vs the shortest nights of the year, celebrating the return of light at Christmas  and the rituals of fertilisation at Midsummer. The rituals being moderated into ritual dancing around the midsummers pole, drinking and eating in community. The dancing is optional if you want to spend more time eating and drinking or, as we did, binding a huge flower wreath for the evenings song, music and strawberry cake indoors after it got a little chilly. I came home at midnight, enjoying the light night sky, content after a pleasant evening with a group of friends.
I wish you all a happy solstice, where ever you are.
