But thankfully, not too many! This is, in Simon Warren’s view, the toughest climb in Belgium—thankfully, not comparable to the toughest climbs in Yorkshire, but fabulous nonetheless.

We kept it short, warming up on the hill on the other side first before doing this one, and then made the most of a couple of hours sitting outside in the shade in La Roche—happening on possibly the best cafe in the town, narrowly avoiding the worst. We’re hoping to finish there tomorrow too!
