Good Spot!
This is a leaf cutter bee emerging from the nest hole it is developing in the container where our grapevine is growing.
Daughter Kate spotted it while we were having an al fresco breakfast and we watched it make several journeys in with a large piece of leaf each time. Apparently they have a liking for rose leaves which can be found quite close by.
I did try to get the more interesting shot of it going into the hole with a piece of leaf but I only succeeded in getting a lot of bee posterior!
I may try again.
