Windmill
Time to return from our week's break in Norfolk and come back home. We split the journey into three parts.
Our first stop was at the windmill at Heckington, the only eight sailed windmill left standing in the uk. Unfortunately it doesn't work any more following some storm damage.
We had a good wander around it, picking up the guided tour in completely the wrong order and with two different guides and three different tour groups, but it was still informative. We stayed there for lunch and then did the next leg up to Doncaster.
At Doncaster we viewed the YPU Exhibition again, taking care to find all the backfill images now that the PAGB entries for Yorkshire have been taken off the wall. Sharon also had a short still life masterclass with one of the museum staff who'd been doing some drawing of flowers with children.
We then drove home, arriving just after 5pm and flinging the windows open to try and get some of the stuffiness out of the house.
