Topping and tailing

We have enough gooseberries for a crumble or a pie. Last year the bush was new and we only had a few berries.

It's nice to be able to sit outside with a glass of wine and do the topping and tailing. It's been hot and parkrun this morning was tough - I sweated so much afterwards! But temperatures are going down and it's more comfortable now.
