Orange Lilies

** Backblip for Wednesday **

It being a Wednesday, I went over to my sister’s for lunch. Having blipped an orange rose on Tuesday, I found these striking orange lilies growing in her garden, which is looking splendid. She works really hard to keep it looking good.

My car isn’t liking the current hot weather much. I don’t think it’s the battery, but when it’s really warm outside the starter motor sometimes turns over for quite a while before the engine fires up. Of course it doesn’t do it every single time, that would be too simple and it’s bound to behave itself if I take it in to a garage for checking.

My letter from the Department for Work and Pensions arrived, which is the invitation to apply for the State Pension. I thought I would have to put it aside until nearer the time, but realised with a shock that it’s only four months until my qualifying birthday and that I could therefore go online and fill in the application details right away. My hips are in a bad way at the moment with pain and stiffness, so I’m currently feeling every single day of my age!

Still trying to catch up with blips whilst making a serious attempt at finally getting the house straight, but no matter how much I do any progress seems to be frustratingly slow :-(
