Halfway, north and south

We were promised a cooler day and it was actually cooler than forecast. I still decided it would be best to run early, though at that point the temp was rising quickly.
It was mostly not bad for running as the sun mostly stayed behind clouds and I stayed mostly in the shade so I got in just over 7 miles. Several hills, one quite long, but they aren't steep and I was able to get a good rhythm going. I stopped at the top of the longest hill, which turned out to be almost exactly halfway, and took these 2 pics.
Afterwards I went to pick Mr Rat who'd been for a run and then breakfast with a couple of his friends and ending up having a second breakfast myself.
I was going to sit in the garden in the afternoon but a cool breeze had got up so I pottered around a bit and then we had a shower. This meant a rush around getting in the washing, the hammock and the sun shades!
I've had some admin to do this evening, I want everything in order before we go off on a fortnight's holiday.
