To be fair this was a good effort and much better than the others we saw.

There was a charity event on and it involved about 200 pirates doing a treasure hunt, conveniently in several pubs over about 20 miles.

As Claire was not returning from her Hen Do until about midday, I had made plans with Simon to take Orla out with his girls (Esther and Iris).
We wanted to wear them out so the Mom's could have a more gentle evening with tired little ones.

We did a good walk in the heat of the day over fields and tracks I normally do on my mountainbike to Hagley. It was easily the furthest Orla has walked in one go and it was made much easier as she was with her mates.

The girls loved seeing all the pirates in the pub stop and got the attention of quite a few, at one point they were singing pirate songs with them (I was worried they may be getting to learn some new "words".

After a cob and a pint of Bathams in the best drinkers pub in Hagley the walk back seemed even hotter and we were all worn out by the end.

When we got back home Orla did some quick hello action to mommy but pretty much headed straight to the paddling pool to cool off. I even dipped my feet in and it was lovely.
