I’ve not been well. A cold or Covid. But at 19:00 hours after a nice lunch with Terry at the Orchard I shook off my fuddledness and drove down to Jedburgh to look at the outside of a house that had just come on the market.

It was a lovely drive through Leith, Pathhead, Lauder with people out enjoying the warm evening. The house was like we suspected, overhung with trees and stepped back into the east-facing hill. But it does have 1.7 acres of garden.

I drove back watching the sun sink through delightful Borders country looking for a place to stop to take a picture. In the end I turned up the road to Soutra Aisle to take this.

By the time I was back on car-dealer strip between Portobello and Leith a stiff easterly was blowing. It was still 17c though. Warm but nothing like the torment of Florence J struggles though daily.
